Bo Bo

A while ago a friend of mine asked, "how is the cat doing?". Well, as these photos show it does seems that Elizabeth and Bodhi are moving a tiny bit closer in the direction of becoming friends.

Granted, Bo Bo still runs like the dickens when she comes barreling towards him screaming at the top of her lungs. We are trying to teach her "quiet" and "gentle" when she is around the cat and she is finally starting to get it.

She has a new habit of asking everyone to "slap her five" and can't seem to understand why Bodhi doesn't respond to her request when she offers her hand and says her own version of "slap five" which sounds a little like "lafa". It is funny to watch.

She really likes Bodhi and seems pretty excited whenever she sees him. In fact her first sentence was "bye bye Bo Bo"--which she says whenever he walks away from her (which is a lot!). He stills maintains a high degree of caution around her, but we think he has figured out, finally, that she is friend, not foe.

Elizabeth and Party Time

Well Elizabeth had the pleasure of attending her friend Maria's (aka mei mei) birthday party. She had lots of fun and managed to chow down on a couple of pieces of pizza and lots of other treats.

Maria turned two and is a great role model for Elizabeth. She is also helps me stay a few months ahead of the game in what I can expect for Elizabeth.

This first photo is a good one of Maria's mom, Patty--but Elizabeth's photo looks like the kind they put in the Enquirer to show the glamour girls at their worst.

Some Help

Well, we finally got ourselves someone to help us with Elizabeth. Sandra is great and Elizabeth really likes her.

We found Sandra though the University and she comes 3 mornings a week and what a difference it makes just to have someone help to entertain our bouncing baby girl.

Elizabeth is so much fun to be with, but after a few hours anyone over 35 is bound to get worn out. So it is nice to be able to share Elizabeth's zest for life with someone else! And boy, does she love playing with Sandra!

The Girls

Once again Elizabeth and Kayla had a blast when we got together with Jan and Gary last week at Fashion Island.

Here you see Gary and Marty oogling the merchandise in the Apple store--and it looks as if they might be influencing the little girls as well. There may be a "mac" in their future.

I have to work at making sure Elizabeth knows the difference between a "fountain" and a "bathtub". I think she gets it.

A group photo

Gary and Marty take the girls for a walk. Elizabeth is constantly begging Gary and Jan to pick her up. And if you are around be prepared for an aching back. This girl loves to be carried. It probably has a little to do with the fact that from carrying her around so much, mama has developed sciatica--which pretty much prohibits me from carrying her. Although she has always been a social butterfly and loves and I means loves attention.

Elizabeth and Kayla are so adorable when they are together. They have so much fun jumping around and giggling together.

Once again, Elizabeth has convinced Jan that carrying her around is the thing to do.

Elizabeth at Bloomies

Here she is getting a make believe shoe shine before her big shopping spree!

Yes, Elizabeth loves to shop. Well let just say she loves to do pretty much anything if it involves her being out and about.

Here she is shopping up a storm at Bloomingdales. This was BEFORE the economy crashed of course.

"oh boy, I hope they take Amex."

The little miss is a kick when she is out and chatting on the phone. She really seems to be having a conversation and gets a lot of giggles out of passers by.

Elizabeth has the same frustration with the cell phone as her mama does. I am constantly yelling at my crazy cell phone--it has about 300 features of which 299 of them boggle my mind.

Looks like she is saying, "don't tell my parents how much money I spent."

There she goes. She still has a lot of shopping to do.

If the Coat Fits

So..the good news this fall is that a lot of Elizabeth's clothes from last year still fit her--mostly owing to the fact that she has gone from smaller and rounder to longer and leaner. I had to get her 18-24 month old clothes when she was just 12 months old since she was such a little blump (but so darn cute!).

Here is one of my favorite buys--a cute pink coat which I managed to get for $10 at Walmart or Target last year. I saw the same coat at a boutique in Fashion Island for over $100--no joke. Doesn't she look marvelous?

I wonder if Project Runway is looking for any new models?

Here she is making the "I love you" sign. She seems to be referring to the coat here. Yeah, she loves it.

She likes what she sees in the mirror. So what else is new? God bless her!

Elizabeth decided she looked so darn good in this coat that she was going to take herself out for a walk. Too bad it was about 78 degrees out. But what the heck, as the saying goes, "a woman will endure a lot of things in the name of fashion.
